Week of 4/1:

Space Cowboys Earn Walk-Off Win Over Grasshoppers

It came down to the wire on Monday at GBI Main Complex, as Space Cowboys grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 11-9, over Grasshoppers.

The game was tied at nine in the bottom of the sixth when Markel W hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs. Markel W homered in the fourth and sixth innings. Markel W hit two home runs in the victory. Grasshoppers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Flynn B doubled, scoring one run, Taylor W doubled, scoring two runs, and Chase A grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the third inning, Space Cowboys went back into the lead after Markel W tripled, and Cylus C singled, each scoring one run. Chase A hit an inside the park home run, which helped Grasshoppers tie the game at five in the top of the fourth.

In the bottom of the fourth, Space Cowboys broke up the tie when James C doubled, scoring one run. Then an inside the park home run by Markel W followed to extend the lead to 8-5.  Grasshoppers tied the game up in the top of the fifth thanks to three singles. Grasshoppers tied the game at eight on a single by Chase A. A solo home run to right field by Elis D gave Grasshoppers the lead, 9-8, in the top of the sixth.

Space Cowboys captured the lead, 11-9, in the bottom of the sixth when James C doubled, scoring one run, and Markel W hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs.  James C led things off on the hill for Space Cowboys. They gave up 18 hits and nine runs over six innings, striking out 10 and walking none. Jaziel T stepped on the hill first for Grasshoppers. The starting pitcher allowed 18 hits and 11 runs over five innings, striking out 11 and walking none.

Space Cowboys amassed 18 hits in the game. SaeQuan B, Cylus C, James C, and Sawyer T each collected multiple hits for Space Cowboys. Grasshoppers amassed 18 hits in the game. Caleb L Silas and Taylor W each collected three hits for Grasshoppers. Taylor W and Chase A each drove in three runs for Grasshoppers. Michael M and Donovan W each collected multiple hits for Grasshoppers. Grasshoppers were sure-handed and didn't commit single error. Jaxon E made the most plays with 11.Space Cowboys play at home on Saturday against Grizzlies in their next game.

Cardinals Claims Win In Thrilling Showdown Against Nationals

Cardinals snatched the lead late in their 6-5 victory over Nationals on Tuesday. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the fourth when Porter S singled, scoring one run.  A single by Fisher R put Nationals on the board in the top of the first.  A ground out by Porter S gave Cardinals the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first. Nationals captured the lead, 3-2, in the top of the third after Connor M singled, and Mason L doubled, each scoring one run.

Cardinals captured the lead, 6-5, in the bottom of the fourth when Gunner B doubled, scoring one run, Elier G singled, scoring two runs, and Porter S singled, scoring one run.  Gunner B led things off on the bump for Cardinals. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one.

Turner G opened the game for Nationals. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out five and walking four.  Caleb F appeared in relief for Cardinals.  Porter S and Elier G were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Cardinals. Gunner B went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cardinals in hits. Cardinals had a strong eye at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Cruz P and Noah F led the team with two walks each. Cruz P, Nicholas 0, Porter S, and Noah F each stole multiple bases for Cardinals.

Cardinals stole 11 bases in the game. Cardinals were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Elier G had the most chances in the field with six. Grayson V went 1-for-2 at the plate as they led the team with two runs batted in. Connor M went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Nationals in hits. Davis L stole two bases. Nationals didn't commit a single error in the field. Karter S had the most chances in the field with one. 

Cardinals will travel to Mets for their next game on Saturday.

Orioles Claim Victory Over Twins

Orioles took down Twins 4-3 on Tuesday at GBI Main Complex.  Orioles were the first to get on the board in the first when Elijah G doubled, scoring one run. Twins jumped back into the lead in the top of the second inning after Jackson H walked, and Carson L grounded out, each scoring one run. Jaxon M singled on a full count, which helped Orioles tie the game at two in the bottom of the third.

Orioles took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. A wild pitch scored one run, to give Orioles the edge, 3-2.  Easton W stepped on the bump first for Orioles. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and two runs over three innings, striking out six and walking four.

Andrew S opened the game for Twins. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and two runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking one. Jaxon M appeared in relief for Orioles.  Elijah G went 1-for-2 at the plate as the right-handed hitter led the team with one run batted in.

Jackson S, Jefferson M, Easton W, Elijah G, Jaxon M, Lucas A, and Rylan W each collected one hit for Orioles. Easton W and Jaxon M each stole multiple bases for Orioles. Orioles stole nine bases in the game. Lucas B and Andrew S were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Twins while hitting back-to-back.

Orioles will travel to Tigers for their next game on Saturday.
