Pony/Colt mandatory evaluations will be held Saturday 8/6, all day at North Garner Middle School. Rain makeup is scheduled for Monday 8/8 7-8:30PM.
After registration closes on Monday 8/1, league Director Bo Black will provide the time slot your player should attend, from the list below.
Breakdown will be by last name A-Z. First of the alphabet in the morning and last of the alphabet in the afternoon.
8:00-9:30
9:30-11:00
11:00-12:30
12:30-1:00 LUNCH
1:00-2:30
2:30-4:00
4:00-5:30
Each evaluation time slot will be 1.5 hours. Players will be evaluated in an infield position (fielding, catching, throwing), outfield position (fielding, catching, throwing), hitting and a timed run to first base. Pitchers and Catchers will be evaluated at the end of each group with each pitcher/catcher throwing about 10-15 pitches.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR PLAYER ARRIVES 30 MINS EARLY TO WARM UP ON HIS OWN PRIOR TO YOUR TIME SLOT and CHECK-IN.
Batting cages will be open and the open field area above the field is used as a warmup area.
Also, this season we'll have a Welcome to the Pony league event, held Thursday, August 4th from 7-8:30PM at North Garner Middle School field.
This will be an opportunity for parents to meet current players, coaches and socialize. Players will get a chance to get on the field and have a little fun.
We will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers with all the fixings, so bring your families and appetite.
