ATTENTION:  ALL COACHES, PARENTS, PLAYERS, SPECTATORS

We want to assure you that Garner Baseball Inc. is actively monitoring local developments related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and following guidance from health officials
With that in mind, we have decided to implement a "No-Handshake/Limit-Contact" policy for our players and coaches until further notice.

No Handshake & Limit Contact Policy

1. No Post-Game Handshake Between Players
2. Avoid High-Fives and Fist Bumps.
3. Avoid Sharing Gloves, Bats, Helmets and Water Bottles
4. Coaches should also not shake hands with each other or umpires at pre-game meetings
5. Please continue to verbalize your sportsmanship with phrases like: "Good Game

Additional Precautions

Coronavirus symptoms are often mild and include a runny nose, sore throat, cough or fever. Needless to say, if you or your child is feeling sick -- please stay home and get the rest you need to recover
GBI also strongly encourages our families to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention including

1. Wash your players hands with soap and hot water prior to arriving at fields or wash up in our restrooms
2. Also wash your players hands or use sanitizer before eating post-game snacks
3. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
4. Cover your mouth and nose - with a tissue if possible - when coughing or sneezing, then properly discard the tissue in one of the trash bins at our fields.

By all accounts, being outdoors and getting fresh air continues to be a great way to STAY HEALTHY!
We're looking forward to this season and thank you for following the guidance outlined in this email to help protect all of our players & families
